The Heller amendment was gimmick. No bill ever has conditions based upon who voted for it. The Republicans aren't for health care reform and are happy to have better coverage than their constituents, so they could vote for Heller, since they are planning to vote against the public option anyway.
You should be complaining about Heller putting out such a frivolous amendment and wasting taxpayer dollars.
Dem congressmen, notably Bob Brady, have agreed to use the public option.
