Confession, Good for the Earth

Bless me father, for I have a Hummer

  1. This is too funny. But maybe it will help Libs deal with their feelings of earth guilt.

  2. Did Al Gore show up at the Waveney Greenpeace festival to confess his green sins? He not only drives a Hummer, but also lives at two properties: a 10,000-square-foot, 20-room, eight-bathroom home in Nashville, and a 4,000-square-foot home in Arlington, Va. (He also has a third home in Carthage, Tenn.)

Then there is the troubling matter of his energy use. In the Washington, D.C., area, utility companies offer wind energy as an alternative to traditional energy. In Nashville, similar programs exist. Utility customers must simply pay a few extra pennies per kilowatt hour, and they can continue living their carbon-neutral lifestyles knowing that they are supporting wind energy. Plenty of businesses and institutions have signed up. Even the Bush administration is using green energy for some federal office buildings, as are thousands of area residents. But according to public records, there is no evidence that Gore has signed up to use green energy in either of his large residences.

For someone rallying the planet to pursue a path of extreme personal sacrifice, Gore requires little from himself. Inconvenient truth.

  6. Ok, time to clear up yet another Lying Liberal engineered mythconception…

Hummers have gotten a bad rap. The evil “Haves” and their new Hummers are NOT great contributors to pollution. On the contrary, it’s the “Nots” with their older inefficient cars that are responsible for more pollution than Hummer owners, by far.

See, thanks to technology advances, modern automobiles -yep, even big Hummers with their big engines- run more cleanly and more efficiently and get better mileage than the older inefficient cars, wasting fuel and blowing smoke and leaking oil into our streams, largely driven by the lower classes.
(And don’t even get me started on all the near-empty SEPTA busses running around, belching their filthy poison into the air just to transport a Not or two to the mall for shopping.)

No, I think many shrill Sky Falling Libs hate Hummer owners for nothing more than the easy and cheap target they provide in their ongoing reverse classism warfare efforts. That, and the fact that Libs hate anything that even so much as resembles a U.S. Military vehicle.

Heck, the old retired guy down the street from me who needlessly cuts his grass every other day out of sheer boredom is responsible for sending more pollutants into the air than a whole fleet of modern, clean-running Hummers!
(Oops, I should be quiet lest the Libs start talking about banning gasoline-powered lawnmowers again!)

The Libs are lying to you, folks. Wake up.
