Swarthmore Professor MIA?

As I noted in Wednesday's column I have been trying to get a hold of Swarthmore College Prof. Keith Reeves to ask him about the study/report he did for Judge Norma Shapiro and/or HUD concerning the Chester Housing Authority and the Chester Towers.

I got a call yesterday from the university's public information department informing me that they've been trying to get a hold of him too. But "so far," said Marsha Mullen, "he hasn't returned our calls, either."

She says they'll keep trying, which I appreciate.

To be clear, Reeves is under no obligation to talk to me about his report. But I wish he would so I could clear up some rumors swirling around about it. The report, however, is a public document, paid for with public money, and should be made available upon request.

  1. I gotta be honest with you. If my Secretary told me that you called and wanted to write a story about me, I'd be standing there silently mouthing the words "I'm not here" while I drew my hand across my throat repeatedly!

  2. Funny, Ed!

Unless this guy is of a radically different breed, seeing how he is a Swarthmore College professor it is reasonable to assume his “report” will be filled with predictable Liberal scat.
Why does anyone even bother asking such rabid Libs their thoughts on anything anymore, particularly in matters of public tax dollar policy?
And they have no business "educating" kids while suffering from such a mental disorder as Lib idiotology.

  3. Heh.

What do you have to hide, Ed?

My advice is, unless you're an out and out crook, always talk.

Journalists aren't as tough as they pretend. And most will give you a fair shake. Most, not all.

And Randal, stop being such an anti-Lib bigot. They're not all jerks. Geez.

  4. Ed and Gil:

Ed you should always talk to reporters/columnists - period! Gil, don't fall into the "bigot" trap. Anti-libs cannot be bigots.

  5. I'm not a criminal and I suspect that's why you haven't called yet. I was putting myself in the Swarthmore College Professor's shoes. Not that he's a crook, but I'm sure his views on life do not align with those of Gil Spencer. He should hire Mr Diano to speak on his behalf. He'd at least get you to stop calling.

  6. You are right, Gil. Thank you for showing me the error of my ways. I will now turn over a new leaf. From this point forward I shall do my best to be more tolerant and accepting of Liberals …and traitors… jerks, liars and criminals… child rapists… fleas and ticks… termites…
For now I know that it is not their behavior that is harmful and destructive but rather it is my condemning them that is the problem.
    Thanks again!
