Those Who Can't Do...

An appeals court in California throws a monkey wrench into the state's grassroots homeschooling movement.

How the decision will effect the thousands of families that homeschool remains to be seen but this comment sure was revealing:

"We're happy," said Lloyd Porter, who is on the California Teachers Association board of directors. "We always think students should be taught by credentialed teachers, no matter what the setting."

So unless a parent has a teaching degree or is otherwise licensed by the state, the teachers' union considers them unqualified to teach their own children.

How's that for chutspah? Especially considering that California has some of the worst public schools in the nation.

We need to outlaw teacher unions.
