In Denver, the woman given the honor of singing the Star Spangled Banner before the mayor's annual state of the union address, sang the "Black National Anthem" instead.
"When I decided to sing my version, what was going on in my head was: 'I want to express how I feel about living in the United States, as a black woman, as a black person,'" said Marie.
Hickenlooper's staff picked Marie to sing the national anthem. The mayor says he believes Marie did not intend to offend anyone or make a political statement.
Bitter black racists don’t insert race into everything and their Liberal apologists don’t enable them. Nah, that’s just silly.
I wonder how the Mayor would have felt had, say, some white racist sang the KKK Anthem?
If it is a crime to vandalize the Flag then it should also be a crime to vandalize our National Anthem in this way.
Where the heck are the unstable kooks with guns when we need em?
