Obama Blows Off Wounded Soldiers

McCain is hammering Obama for cancelling a visit to a military hosptial in Germany to see wounded American soldiers.

The Obama campaign said it would be "inappropriate" for the senator to visit the troops on a campaign funded trip.

That doesn't wash. The Pentagon said only Obama shouldn't visit the troops with campaign personnel. The easy answer for Obama would have been to leave the campaign personnel behind and visit the troops on his own.

The McCain campaign said it's never wrong for a U.S. Senator to visit wounded troops to show his appreciation for their sacrifice and service.

That's right.

Obama blew it. And whatever criticism he gets for his campaign's decision, he deserves.

Obama did blow it big time. Not that I really care. I think Obama is clueless to what really needs to change here in the U.S.A. Visiting wounded soldiers in Germany wouldn't convince me that he gives a "you know what" about them.

However, the Pentagon said the senator was never told not to visit.

No, Obama elected to go campaigning to friendly crowds rather than visit our wounded soldiers. Period. Everyone knows Libs like Obama hate the military and our soldiers anyway. Just look at how they treated our boys returning from Vietnam.

The real joke here is how he tried to spin it as not wanting to use them as political pawns, since this is exactly what the LibDems have been doing all along. Yep, despicable.
Some "change", this.

McCain WAS a hospitalized troop.

No, it is as I say.

Hey, come to think of it, given the Dishonest Lib Michael Moore Standard and all, how come Obama never joined the military?

McCain is a flat out liar and Spencer has become a RW stooge.

If Obama did visit the troops, they would have said he was politicizing the troops, if he doesn't go, he disrespects the troops.

There's nothing like reality in RW La-La Land.

Again, right you are. As witnessed by factcheck.org, McCain is indeed BSing the public about the Obama campaign. If he had visited the hospital, you know damn well what they would be saying. As for the notion that the left bashed Vietnam vets after that war, thats BS also. A huge part of the left anti war movement during Nam was spearheaded by vets, and it wasn't until Reagan took office that the myth of the Vietnam veteran being bashed, mistreated, and spat on by the left took root. Who really mistreated the Vietnam vets?
The government. They wouldn't recognize PTSD and Agent Orange. Nice.

Oh brother. Mini Dave is a hoot! You are either an idiot or a liar, Boring Bob.
It was anti-war Libs and no one else who spat at our boys upon their return from that Dem war Vietnam, much as you spit on your own soldier son now.

And Dishonest Dave still spinning his dishonesty... McCain, like others, just wanted the reward to match the commitment, is all. It was a very reasonable stance.

Besides, you hate our troops anyway, so what do you care what they get? You don't. Once again you're spitting on them, using them in your cheap petty partisan hurt feelings games.

Looks like RR (the guy who doesn't read my posts, but can't resist replying to them, LOL) has been watching reruns of Rambo again.

The myth persists because: 1) Those who didn't go to Vietnam--that being most of us--don't dare contradict the "experience" of those who did; 2) the story helps maintain the perfect sense of shame many of us feel about the way we ignored our Vietvets; 3) the press keeps the story in play by uncritically repeating it, as the Times and U.S. News did; and 4) because any fool with 33 cents and the gumption to repeat the myth in his letter to the editor can keep it in circulation.

I never said I never read your childish posts, Boring Bob.

1)2)3)&4) You Libs are the ones who hate the military and are the ones who spat on our brave boys upon their return from that Dem war Vietnam. Period. Simply saying otherwise on a silly blog board does nothing to change this fact. Besides, your traitorous words today support this fact of yesteryear.

Did you see the story the Sunday Times did on my son? They did a great job. Ceck it out if you get a chance.

Well, it’s like this… You were grasping, trying to be funny. And failed.
See, in order for something to be funny it has to contain at least a preponderance of truth or plausibility. You failed here because your childish jab contained not a trace amount or either. Nothing I have posted would in any way indicate that I would want to harm our soldiers. No, I support them and in fact defend them from Military-bashing traitors like you. While you, on the Left hand, with your well known anti- Military/ anti-U.S. Lib attitudes would be much more likely to want to killing U.S. soldiers, be it in video games or in real life. Not that there’s anything at all funny about that. In fact, some may indeed find it disturbing that you would even see the killing of U.S. soldiers as something to joke about.

Now I have turned your silly, unfunny and disturbing “joke” back on you, making you the joke ass and scoring yet another point for myself here.
Yeah, I'm a little bored today. Lol...

I hope you’ve learned something here, Dishonest (and unfunny) Dave. Better luck next time!

;)

Dave

Well, thanks to RR's explanation, we now know why he's never funny. Amazing how someone can view sending troops into harms way, based on a lie,as supporting the military. But hey,it's nothing new. It was the same story in Nam. Gulf of Tonkin? Inflated body counts? Now we have non-existant WMD's, lies about the Saddam - Al-Quada connection. Nothing new here. The RR's of this world will lie, and ignore facts because they will always carry a feeling of guilt for not having served. They crave their moral justification.

And he still reads my posts! LOL

I will address this one last time…

I never said that I never read your boring, childish, petty hurt feelings, pathetic weepy little girl posts. Sometimes I read the shorter ones. Depending on the topic I sometimes skim your other stupid offerings. And I always regret wasting the time.
You are nothing more than an unfunny Mini Dave and neither of you can discuss, debate or argue honestly. Which all makes you a whiny little dishonest nothing. I told you before, if you’re not nice, I will stop giving you the attention that you so obviously desire from me.

Oh, and stop stabbing your brave soldier son in the back and turning against your country just because mean ol’ Bushie has hurt your fragile feelings. Your boy knew what he was getting into when he volunteered. So stop Sheehan-ing him. It is disgusting. Seriously.
