A Warning to America

Joe "Gaffe Machine" Biden warns his fellow Americans that if they elect Barack Obama our enemies will manufacture a crisis to test the most inexperienced president in our history.

Hmmm. Isn't that a pretty good reason to vote for the candidate our enemies will be less likely to "test?"

Joe the Hair Plugger is the gift that keeps on giving.

Didn't Kennedy use his knowledge of Khrushchev to defuse the Cuban missile crisis rather than start WW III?
Foreign governments wouldn't have to "test" McCain. They already know he's a hotheaded reactionary that can be provoked into foolish actions and wild gambles.

The underlying point of Biden's remarks is that Obama is up to the challenge because he can see them coming, won't be surprised, and has plans to deal with it.

"the most inexperienced president in our history"??
I didn't realize Abe Lincoln was running this year (he had less experience than Obama).

It was his original meeting with Khrushchev where the Soviet leader decided Kennedy could be pushed around that LED to the Cuban missile crisis.

Don’t believe it. ALL of our sworn enemies have endorsed him and are looking forward to an Obama presidency.
Seems to me we should do the exact opposite of what our enemies want us to.

Nope. Khrushchev was being pushed by his hardliners, just as Kennedy was being pushed by Pentagon hardliners to "push the button".
But, Kennedy knew that Khrushchev didn't want a nuclear war that would have destroyed both countries. Kennedy gave Khrushchev an out to defuse the crisis.

Kennedy had the cool intellect to avoid the crisis. So does Obama. McCain clearly doesn't (and the majority of the country has figured this out as well after McCain's lack of leadership on the economic crisis).

Anon- Gil- Regardless, it was still a stupid thing for Biden to say at this time. How can anyone deny that? What a strange campaign season. Seems as though Republicans Powell and Smerconich are doing more to help Obama than Biden and Clinton, and Bill Clinton and Leiberman are singing the praies of McCain, while Palin is like a cement block, weighing down an already floundering McCain. Got to love it!

You got to give it that. It has been entertaining.

cement block? i always though of her as more of an anchor in several ways:

1) mccain needed a pro-lifer as a life-preserver and got tossed an anchor.

2) palin is like an anchor digging down deep and holding onto far-right orthodoxy. the problem is the anchor is stuck in the 20th century as time, the world and usa politics sails past them.

Obama is much more pro-baby-killing than Palin is pro life. He’s down right radical in his views. Even people who can accept some limited abortion find his radical abortion views extreme. So who’s out of touch?
The truth is that the world over has been kicking the childish and destructive idiotology of Liberalism to the curb. But somehow we’re having trouble finally scraping it off our shoe.
