Reader-in-Chief

More proof that Bush is a loser.

But did YOU read 51 books last year?

Bush-hating LibDems like to smear Bush as only ever reading books like My Pet Goat. This is the dishonest image of our President that the Hurt Feelings liars have built. Never mind that he’s an Ivy League grad and outscored Hanoi John Kerry on intelligence tests.

I hear it's 103 if you count the pop-up books. Damn. He's almost as smart as Randal.

Let's see...

His reading this year included a heavy dose of history -- including David Halberstam's "The Coldest Winter," Rick Atkinson's "Day of Battle," Hugh Thomas's "Spanish Civil War," Stephen W. Sears's "Gettysburg" and David King's "Vienna 1814." There's also plenty of biography -- including U.S. Grant's "Personal Memoirs"; Jon Meacham's "American Lion"; James M. McPherson's "Tried by War: Abraham Lincoln as Commander in Chief" and Jacobo Timerman's "Prisoner Without a Name, Cell Without a Number."

And USA1-iano read... and was captivated by...

It makes no matter to the liberal idiots - Bush will always be wrong - even though he is a remarkable and humble man.

There was an email going around that went something like this: "President Bush and the Pope were on the presidential yacht (there is none) when the Pope's hat blew off and into the water. President Bush walked off the yacht, picked up the Pope's hat, and walked back to the yacht". The headlines in the NYT the next day was "Bush Can't Swim". Say it long enough and people will believe anything.

Scott- You said "President Bush and the Pope were on the presidential yacht (there is none)" Scott, its a Joke! Get it? A joke!

Bob: I know it was a joke, but it speaks very clearly to how irrational Bush hatred is. It makes no matter to libs what good he has done as he will never get credit for any of it. The NYT joke was a perfect illustration of how that particular newspaper reports. If the joke was about Obama, he would have been hailed as being able to walk on water. Got it BOB?

Scott - I was referring to your need to point out that there is no presidential yacht. Evey now and then a writer uses artistic licence when writing a joke. Get it Scott?

As for all of the good things Bush has done, I think most are outweighed by his uncalled for invasion and occupation of Iraq.
If, like most of the Bushies, you say that he has to be given credit for keeping this country safe after 9/11, then you must also credit him with dropping the ball in the leadup to 9/11. Who can forget Rice sitting before the 9/11 comission (the comission that Bush tried to avoid having) and saying she couldn't remember the intel report received a month before, that revealed Bin ladens plan to attack on American soil.
Then he diverts attention from Afghanistan, and the hunt for Bin Laden, to wage an unnecessary war. Imagine how much better things could possibly be in Afghanistan if Bush had maintained focus.

How long do you expect to cry about that, BB?
Maybe it's time for some therapy or maybe speak with a child and see how they move beyond their petty hurt feelings.

We all know Randals take on the war. He doesn't care how many American soldiers die. As he said long ago, if it doesnt directly affect you, you should get over it. Matter of fact he would like to spit in the face of mothers of dead soldiers. And then he calls himself a patriotic American. What a hypocrit.

Please stop repeating those same tired old lies, Weeper Bob.

Those "tired old lies" are archived. And Gil, along with all of the other contributers to this blog have read your words. They all know what I say is true. Who are you trying to convince, by calling them lies? Yourself?

Gil - This is rediculous. It's pretty pathetic when you come across as such a bufoon, that your friends find in necessary to convince people that you're smart. Its laughable. Does Rove require Georgie to turn in book reports?
The Times reported today that Bush top aide, Lawrence Williams, refers to Bush as a "Sarah Palin-like president - because, lets face it, thats what he was"
Ya think the Times is makin that this stuff up? This is what his own people think of him. People who know him well. And I believe that once Bush is out of office we're going to learn a whole lot more about his short comings.

[sigh]

He doesn't care how many American soldiers die.

This is a Bob lie. I never said this. Next...

As he said long ago, if it doesnt directly affect you, you should get over it.

I have said that overly emotional folks who have no personal stake in the war have been whipped into an emotional frenzy of hating the war and our president. This is true. Emotional whiners like you are the poster Libs for this.

Matter of fact he would like to spit in the face of mothers of dead soldiers.

Not mothers. Mother. That traitor Cindy Sheehan for trashing her brave son's memory by politicizing it for personal gain. This is despicable.

So, as all can plainly see, your weepy post was indeed filled with lies and intentional distortions. This calculated dishonesty you display here is typical of your kind and draws into question everything you post.

You have been schooled, BB. Now get over your childish hurt feelings, you p****.

Oh, and for some reason Gil keeps refusing to permit a post by me expressing concern for your son's Sheenhaning he suffered at your hands.

Bob,

It's "ridiculous."

If you read as many books as George W. Bush you would probably know that.

Boring Bob is a perfect example of someone of limited brain power who has been whipped into an emotional frenzied hatred of Bush to the point that he will attack and attempt to discredit him on any and every topic that comes along. Just as BB does to me here.

This says much, much more about the Bobs than it does about Bush.
Talk about dopes being duped… the Liberal Media has played such simps like childish fiddles. It was easy.

I don't see any books on Bush's supposed reading list about global warming, economics, the Constitution, the Geneva Conventions, modern transportation, conservation, combating environmental pollution, etc.

Nothing that would have helped him do his job.

Gil - That's it? OK. I'll start spell checking your column, and your newspaper. On second thought, I won't. That would be way to time consuming.

Randal said "Oh, and for some reason Gil keeps refusing to permit a post by me expressing concern for your son's Sheenhaning he suffered at your hands."

Why am I not surprised that you can't figure this one out.

Since Randal has never served his country, and has no children serving his country, I guess it would be asking to much for him to understand why those directly involved feel the way they do. He suffers fron Chicken Hawk syndrome.

Thanks for the recap Randal. It just proves what I was saying. By the way, you forgot to include Mary Tillman. She was another mother who was outspoken against the war. You always seem to avoid that one.

Bob-

The warriors of our world are like sheep dogs protecting you--- the sheep, from the wolves of this world. They choose to fight for a just cause instead of standing on the sidelines in denial cry bahhh, blissfully unaware of danger. They do not need nor do they want a sheep to speak on their behalf, complaining about the dangers that the shepherd has sent them out to guard against.

How about that Bob out in Aspen the other day who lost it and set bombs at area banks!
This sufferer of Extreme Bush Derangement Syndrome has been described as not only hating Bush and the Iraq war but being “bitter”, envious of the evil “rich”.
At least this Lib only killed himself. One less of em.

The Lying Lib Media should bear responsibility for whipping these mental midgets into an emotional frenzy which leads them to all kinda crazy words and actions …like bombing banks and voting for Obama.

E - You said "They choose to fight for a just cause". Exactly my point. Iraq was not a just cause. Get it? The majority of this country now gets it. I guess you and Randal are just a little slow. Maybe a lot slow. I don't consider, nor have I ever considered myself to be a sheep dog. I don't consider my son to be one either. And as a citizen of this country, I have no intention of being a sheep. The sheep of this country are the ones who went along with, and supported the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

There are three kinds of people Bob. If you're not a sheepdog and you're not a wolf... You don't get it and you never will, so I won't try and change that. You can call me stupid or slow. That's fine. But the warriors do not need a sheep to speak on their behalf. You would not want someone to speak on your behalf, especially if their views are different than yours. Let the people who have served in Iraq say whether or not they feel they fought for a just cause.
