Reyburn's Tavern R.I.P.
An update on Reyburn's Tavern in Chadds Ford from a frequent patron:
Paul Jr. died 2 months prior his father. Mr. Reyburn did not sell or sign the liquor license over or jointly to anyone. The real thing that was the best thing that was the original thing is now past and concluded. We will miss him forever.
The bar and its service to patrons and locals since 1937 has played its final chapter. Reyburn's birthday was May18th, so he was 100 and just under 6 months old. You were one of a kind Paul, and we will miss you dearly. Cheers til we meet again my friend. Thank you, thank you, thank you. There will never be another place to replace this place.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Sounds like he was a great guy. Salt of the earth.
Shame on me for never stopping by and siting at the bar. This is what happens when a transplant to the area doesn't truly soak up the county.
At least we still have the Towne House, although we lost Babe Recently.
