I have to question the administration's due dilligence methods and how seriously they take tax-paying. While I'm pleased they did the right thing with these last two appointments (I would assume withdrawls were requested by the President, similar to Harriet Miers), the Geithner appoiment still disappoints me.
Left or right, Tom Daschle is going to be a tough loss - I do believe he was a worthy appointment for HHS, at least prior to car-gate.
I think I had Obama wrong. Instead of fueling our economy by lowering taxes (The right's mantra) why bother paying taxes at all? Keep it all - when will you ever have to worry about being appointed to a cabinet position?

Maybe it's even deeper than that Steve... He's increasing revenue, one delinquent tax payer at a time! They're all up to date now.
