Our Way Or the Highway
Partisan Thomas Frank says "bipartisanship is a silly beltway obsession."
That makes President Obama either a silly, silly man or a cynical liar.

Gil - You say "That makes President Obama either a silly, silly man or a cynical liar." I read the column. How did you come to this conclusion? It takes two sides to be bipartisan. Obama gave it a shot, and he moved on.
The column seems critical of the beltway medias obsession with bipartisanship, not with Obama's actions.
"I won." Some shot.
Gil - Obama's been better than McCain, who's been playing the part of the sore loser. BTW, during the campaign, wasn't McCain touting his bipartisan credentials? Silly man got sillier by picking Palin. The silliest were those pretending Palin was a solid pick.
Gil - that last post was the other Bob. This is Bob, the painter. We'll have to work something out. Anyway, Obama tries to bring Republicans into his administration, and meets personally with other Republicans to get the stimulous package up and running, and we see how that turned out. It's obviously more than "I won". You didn't tell us how you concluded from this column that Obama was a silly man or a liar. Please explain.
BTW - Great article in Feb. Philadelphia mag. about radical Islam in Phila. A good read. Check it out if you get a chance.
