I Pick "Simply Dishonest"

Robert Samuelson on the President's healthplan:
It's hard to know whether President Obama's health care "reform" is naive, hypocritical or simply dishonest. Probably all three. The president keeps saying it's imperative to control runaway health spending. He's right. The trouble is that what's being promoted as health care "reform" almost certainly won't suppress spending and, quite probably, will do the opposite.

  1. Does anyone believe that Obama or Clinton and for that matter any politican cares about your health? These are the same politicans who have been raiding the social security fund and leaving IOU's. Now they want to make Medicare cuts, leaving the seniors with poor or little coverage--this could be a death sentence to some. There has to be an ulterior motivation and that very well be to have a greater control over our lives. Universal "Marxism" health care can be a dangerous weapon in the hands of a corrupt government.

  2. And the detailed and nuanced reasoning behind your "pick" is....lemme guess: Because Obama is a socialist (fascist?) who is a closeted Muslim who doesn't even have a birth certificate and who wants to destroy our entire economy by attacking the fine tuned machine that is our current healthcare edifice, because just look at what he did with the stock market and bailing out GM and if we only had voted for McCain....

  3. Bad guess.

But obviously it was Obama's lack of a birth certificate that drove noted right-wing kook, Robert Samuelson, to question The One's brilliant, if naive/hypocritical/dishonest, plan.
