The Eagles signing of Michael Vick has made things a lot more interesting in Spencerblog home.
Mrs. Spencerblog (a.k.a. Love Dog Inc.) vows that no Eagles game will be shown in her home while the admitted dog killer/torturer is in a Eagles uniform.
Looks like it's the bar scene for moi.
Vick deserves another opportunity in the NFL, I just don't understand his role in Philadelphia. We have a starting QB and a 3rd year west coast understudy on the sideline.
ReplyDeleteIF Vick were to play a Kordell Stewart 'slash' role ala the 1994 Pittsburgh Steelers, I'm all for it. Otherwise, I'm really confused by this action.
Whats the big deal. Sara Palin can shoot wolves from an airplane, and offer a state bounty for the leg of a wolf, and thats OK.
ReplyDeleteVick, deserves a second chance although I wish it was elsewhere. Noone has mentioned that Donte Stallworth killed a HUMAN BEING and he still will play in the league....
ReplyDeleteStallworth killed accidentally. Vick, not so much.
ReplyDeleteBob, was to be a douche bag and make it political. You're relating legal and licensed game hunting to illegal dogfighting. should i repeat the two?
ReplyDeleteI have no issues with game hunting - ever see pennypack park in the fall when the deer population runs rampant throughout northeast philadelphia?
I guess we'll have to change the name of the stadium back to the Vet
ReplyDeleteOh come on Steve. You gonna start calling names because I make a comparison? Grow up. Whats political about Palin shooting dogs from her plane?
ReplyDeleteeverything. There's no comparison. I stand by my previous post, chief. Come clean with you unnecessary jab.
ReplyDeleteStick to your guns, Steve, literally and figuratively.
ReplyDeleteBob showed his true misogynist feelings when he arbitrarily linked the legal, humane hunting of former Governor Palin to the illegal, inhumane crimes of Vick.
Hey Bob, let's ratchet up the humor like Letterman and joke about raping her and her daughters.
And to think these were the guys whining about civil discourse in the health care town halls.
What a bunch of hypocritical frauds.
Well thanks Steve. Nice to know that I've graduated from douche bag to chief. Let me try putting it this way. Quite a while ago I had an exchange with C. Scott. I asked why he was so fascinated with guns. He said "because they're fun".
ReplyDeleteVick probably thought dog fighting was fun and exciting. It was part of his culture. A culture that most of us frown upon. On the other hand, Palin also comes from a culture where many people find shooting dogs from a plane or helicopter as fun, or sport. Unfortunatly, most people accept that as being ok. In my opinion, both are brutal acts. We just have two different sets of rules. So you call me a douch bag for pointing this out? I thought you had more class than that.
Jake - What does misogony have to do with this discussion? As for the wolf hunts, you refer to them as being humane! Really? I think you need to do a bit of research chief.
ReplyDeleteI have more class than that but you decided to take a political shot and I'll continue calling it for what it is, d.b.
ReplyDeleteSteve - Since when are political shots taboo on Spencerblog? Dont be so sensitive. Besides, wasn't Sara the one who referred to herself as the pitbull with lipstick?
ReplyDeletestill nothing to do with dogfighting. Keep peddling...
