A Child's Tale; An Adult's Nightmare

Another innocent Delaware County man is hauled up on very flimsy sex abuse charges, tried and acquitted. My print column is up.

some years ago a child made a claim similar to this one but it was settled even before it had a chance to go to court. It seems the child who made the charges could not describe the inside of the house not even the room where the crime supposedly happend. The parents of the child in this case should find out why she made these out-land-ish charges and if needed get her the emotional help necessary. I would also look into her friends to see if some one else came up with this idea.

Actually, Bob, its not a column about child abuse. It's about someone being falsely accused of child abuse. You should read it. You might even agree with it.

Gil - I read it. He may not be guilty, but it's still a story about child molestation. That's what this man is being accused of isn't it? I was trying to make a point. That regardless of guilt or innocence, this is not something to joke about.

I would say, "lighten up, Francis!" but I'm afraid you'd accuse me of making jokes about the deaths of our soldiers overseas.

What people don't get, they don't get.
