Obama: Appeaser-in-Chief

When the French are accusing you of appeasement, you're in serious trouble.

Money Q:
Bismarck is said to have said: "There is a providence that protects idiots, drunkards, children, and the United States of America." Bismarck never saw Obama at the U.N. Sarkozy did.

The French? The Polanski, Mumia, Einhorn supporters? You want us to listen to them? Oh. I forgot. If someone is bashing the current president of the U.S., suddenly it's OK. But it has to be the current president. Can't be the previous president, can it?

When people make sense they should be listened to, even if they're French.
As for bashing the president, attacking the previous one is a pretty lame way to defend the current one for blunders that even the French can make fun of.

Gil - Maybe you have a point. Would have been nice if we had listened to the French before going into Iraq. Instead we changed french fries into freedon fries. Talk about lame.

Bob,
We recognize and almost admire your loyalty to Obama as his many shortcomings are being painfully exposed day after day. But that is no reason to be deliberately obtuse in your posts. We already have anon-diano to do that.
President Bush was disliked by the French because he took a resolute stand against despots and terrorists, and never wavered.
Obama is being laughed at by the French because he's a naive wimp, unwilling to confront the many growing threats in the world.
That is a huge and 180 degree change for the worse, certainly worth noting and discussing by concerned citizens.
The consequences of Obama's weak leadership are profound. The international community is very much afraid of the instability that results from an ineffectual United States.
The French are merely the sad barometer for how far the US has fallen under Obama and the Democrats.
C'mon Bob, time to man up, unlike your president. This dangerous circumstance is not something you can honestly rationalize.

Jake - And you call me obtuse? I know you get upset when we rehash history Jake, because we might have to bring up the foolish acts of the previous administration, but you'll just have to suck it up and take it like a man. If Bush had been resolute about Afghanistan, we would be light years ahead of where we are now, and Obama wouldn't be cleaning up Georgies mess. But no!!! Bush squandered whatever international political capital he had by diverting attention to Iraq, and putting Afghanistan on the back burner. In doing so, he does Iran a real big favor. He gets rid of Irans arch enemy, replaces a secular government with a Shiite based government, and in turn strenghtens the government of Iran. Instability was George Bush's middle name. Wake up Jake! The dangerous circumstances that you refer to, are the result of eight years of W's incompetent leadership.

Bush blah blah blah.
We get it Bob. You don't like President Bush.
But that doesn't change the fact that the French are calling Obama a wimp.
And that is a course of conduct by the American government that is both sad and very dangerous.

Jake - Blah blah blah? I'm impressed Jake. I'm supposed to pay attention to the French calling Obama a wimp? LOL
