Party To Joe: Drop Out, Not Dead

The head of the state Democratic Party suggests Joe Sestak drop out of his race against Sen. Arlen Specter, who maintains his large lead in the polls against Sestak. But if Ed Rendell and Barack Obama can't convince Sestak to drop out of the race, what make the head of the party thinks Sestak will listen to him?

Specter continues to trail Republican Pat Toomey by 9 points.

Meanwhile, Toomey is riding an anti-Democratic incumbent wave. My print column is up.

UPDATE: Arlen Specter has a history of being disrespectful of and appearing to bully women. Remember Anita Hill? The other night while getting bested by Rep. Michele Bachmann he accused her of not "acting like a lady." Sounds like Arlen is losing it. He getting cranky and more arrogant. At least, Sestak can still fake humility.

Maybe it should be Specter party leaders ask to drop out of the race.

Bachmann's never bested anyone, except at being a brainless chimp.
Talking over someone isn't "besting" them.

I thought Specter showed a lot of restraint for not calling her out for the sheer stupidity of her positions. Bachmann's an example of what's wrong with the state of discourse and the intellectual dishonesty of the GOP.

Sestak acts like a total p***y with these right wing nuts. He just drones on with his talking points without really challenging them directly.

Specter has shown that he can take them on, and won't put up with their tactics. For I while, I thought Joe could take them on, but now it's clear they will steamroll him.

Specter may look like he's in Rocky X, but he can still throw a punch.

And A Nonymous is an example of what a coward is. Are you still a 29 year old Female in Media or have you given up on that lie?

Even a cursory review of the audio of Spector's intemperate remarks make it clear that he was out of line.
Amazing how liberals like ANon hold themselves out to be morally and intellectually superior, yet they resort to juvenile name-calling when confronted by an articulate, attractive conservative spokesperson.
It looks like the Palinization of Representative Bachmann is starting.

I loved it when Bachmann said that she voted for prosperity and not a government takeover of the private sector and his response was that prosperity wasn't a bill that came before Congress . . . Specter is a joke - Toomey will CRUSH him! In fact, any politician who runs as a conservative (either republican or democrat) will win this year on the state or federal level. Anon Diano and his ilk are a dying breed.

Politicians like Specter suck!
