Gov. Chris "Jersey Fats" Christie is taking on the education establishment and cutting spending. Any chance Pennsylvania will elect a governor who will have the guts to do the same here? Fast Eddie Rendel didn't. We'll see.

In America's major media markets, we have a genuine hero, a man of principle.
Yet why is his struggle for fiscal sanity ignored?
It is a struggle that most Americans embrace, yet his motives are questioned and marginalized by the liberal press.
Have we reached such a sorry state of affairs that the public has a far better grasp of reality than our supposed media watchdogs?
Good luck and Godspeed, Governor Christie. We can only hope that future Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett acts as decisively and thoughtfully as you have.
