Scandal at the AT&Tiger?

It has been suggested to me the Pro-Am selection lottery may have been FIXED.

What was supposed to have been a random computer draw that allowed the first group picked to choose their pro is suspected of being pre-arranged.

According a club official who will remain nameless, "Let's just say there might have been something more involved than a blind draw."

In other words, big moolah.

A team from Texas (reported to be affilitated with AT&T) wound up getting the first pick in the draft and selected one ELDRICK TIGER WOODS as their pro.

I broke the news/rumor/scandal to Pro-Amster Steve Finley minutes ago, who was anything but outraged.

"Yeah, I figured that," he said. "We didn't want to play with Tiger anyway."

Finley and company were very happy with their guy Pat Perez. And they beat the pants off Team Tiger anyway.

UPDATE: One of Tiger's playing partners yesterday was Chief Master Sergeant George Vasiloff, of Enola, Pa., with the 201st Red Horse Squadron, who just returned home from Afghanistan a few weeks ago. Tiger reportedly picked Vasiloff to join him, not the other way around. More about Tiger's Pro-Am team can be found here.
