The Dems War on Reason

Frank J. sez:
Democrats have their new talking point: The GOP is doing a “War on Women”. And the sad thing is some people are dumb enough to think that’s a real thing. I for one just find it supremely dishonest with the left pretends to care about anything other than their own politics. Democrats care about women the same way they care about blacks — they’re groups they can get votes from. If you ever want to see great examples of misogyny or racism, see how the left reacts to women and minorities who disagree with them.
I think Frank J. makes an excellent point.

  1. Maybe he should try to convince Peggy Noonan.

  2. Typical. If you can't challenge the reality of the facts, divert attention away from the facts...

  3. Better to ask Clarence Thomas or Sarah Palin.

  4. Charlie - There were no facts cited in this post. Just subjective accusations. Fact - Republicans held a hearing on contraception with an all male panel. Fact - Hannity ran a show on the same subject with an all male panel. Fact - Limbaugh went on a rant calling Fluke a "slut"
Fact - Conservative columnist & former Reagan speech writer, Peggy Noonan said this on Meet the Press "This sounds like a horrible, misogynistic war on women; we have got to stop it."
Republicans can ignore Noonan, however they do so at their own peril.

  5. Gil - This is a riot! You and Jake are still trying to sell your theory that Liberals and Democrats are the real racists and misogynists. You just haven't been able to sell it to the right people yet. Maybe you should brush up on your salesman skills. I could recomend some old Zig Ziglar books that might be helpful.

  6. (Overheard on tapes at DNC HQ)

Can't allow that Herman Cain to convince blacks that conservative values work just as well for them.

No sir, let's get David Axelrod to dredge up a few white woman who have been victimized by that oversexed Mandingo.

Divide and conquer, women only need to care about the issues we identify as women's issues. Let's get some 30 year-old activist to whine about how expensive her busy sex life is...it's just not fair.

And don't talk about the 58 million babies who have been killed courtesy of Roe vs Wade. This is a women's health issue. Men are not qualified to talk about murder.

Let's use bait and switch as the new hope and change.

  7. jake - You have a pretty sick sense of humor.

  8. For the those who aren't familiar with Jake, he's making this up. This is his idea of funny.

  9. For those of you not familiar with Bob...congratulations!

  10. Stop the LIES Jake - You write "No sir, let's get David Axelrod to dredge up a few white woman who have been victimized by that oversexed Mandingo." When it was obviously clear, even to Herman Cain, that these victimized white woman were dredged up by members of Cain's own political party. Jake, you win the political limbo contest.

  11. Jake - These kind's of comments make it obvious that you're the most racist member of the Spencerblog community.

  12. Bob,
First you write that I can't sell my point of view.
Now four agitated posts from you later, it's quite apparent that I can.
Being called a racist from a guy who can't read the dictionary -- how about a little cheese to go with that whine?

  13. I wouldn't put it past Axelrod - the same genius that took the FBI bug in John Street's office in 2003 and spun it as a "racist" thing, that mean Ol' Bush was out to get him. That spin alone carried that idiot to re-election.

  14. Jake - I'm going to propose a way to settle this. Next time we go out with Gil, I'll bring along that picture. We'll show it to people at the bar, and ask them if its two soldiers or two sailors. Each time they say soldier, I'll give you $10. Each time they say sailor, you give me $10. Deal?

  15. Bob,
I'll happily buy you drinks. Republican workers are used to subsidizing Democrat dreamers.
But how do we rewrite the dictionary? Words mean what words mean.
Wishing they mean something different doesn't make it so.

  16. Jake - I know this is difficult for you to grasp, but I didn't say anything about buying drinks. If I remember right, you already owe me a drink from a past bet about Herman Cain. This is about proving your inability to admit that you made a mistake, and that you're grasping at straws to prove your point. Anyone on Spencerblog looking at the picture knows you're wrong. They just don't have the balls to call you on it.

  17. There you go talking about my manhood again. I'm beginning to think your passion about Don't Ask Don't Tell is personal.

This discussion over semantics was irrelevant when you first made it and is irrelevant now. I've tried to humor your petty squabbling, but I can see there's no reasoning with Captain Hindsight (is that an Army or Navy captain?)

  18. Jake - Talking about your manhood? Really? Where did I do that? Please show us.

  19. Yea. That's what I thought Jake.

  20. Jake: Bob didn't challenge your manhood. Actually he said: "Anyone on Spencerblog looking at the picture knows you're wrong. They just don't have the balls to call you on it." So he isn't challenging your manhood, he's challenging looking at the picture who doesn't know you're wrong." Which means he is challenging my manhood, not yours. Because I don't know that you are wrong I guess that means Bob doesn't think I have any balls, or at least not a sufficient amount of balls to call you on something that you should not be called on. Damn this is getting confusing. Could it be that is the modus-operandi of Bob and his liberal buddies? But as you said, Jake: "soldier on, Bob." Or possibly he will sailor on...

  21. Bob, why bother even addressing Jake? It looks to me like he's just baiting you with bull shit.
