The state senate is entertaining
a new bill that would exempt new cars (cars less than 2 years old) from having being inspected.
“For purchasers of today’s new cars, the annual inspection is a pointless ritual that serves no purpose,” said state Sen. John Wozniak, D-Cambria County, the bill’s sponsor. “Owners of new cars have already paid dearly for a vehicle equipped with the latest safety technology. Requiring a state inspection is overkill.”
Oh my God! A politician looking to roll back regulation. And Democrat no less. This is small potatoes but at least, it's a tiny step in the right direction.
Truly a right step in the right direction... It would be great if all of our members of the Legislature and Senate representing Delaware County would sign on to this legislation.
