Curious George

An interesting twist in the Trayvon Martin case:

MIAMI—The lawyers for George Zimmerman, the member of a neighborhood watch group who killed an unarmed teenager, said they were withdrawing as his legal counsel, a surprise twist in a case that has riveted the nation.
"We've lost contact with him," attorney Craig Sonner said at a news conference Tuesday afternoon. "He's gone on his own." Mr. Sonner said the last time he had communicated with his client was on Sunday. Since then, Mr. Zimmerman hadn't returned phone calls, text messages or emails, he said.

Zimmermans judgement came into question the moment he packed heat, and again the moment he decided to disregard the dispatchers instructions. Maybe now Zimmermans defenders will start to question the judgement of "Curious George".

Just the opposite. Zimmerman is being hunted and his families life is being threatened, he is in hiding. I am sure this scrutiny would get to anyone.

Again, for the readers who care about the truth.
Zimmerman legally owned, was legally trained and legally carried the gun.
The dispatcher never told him to NOT follow anyone.
Zimmerman was arrested and took a voice stress test (lie detector test) the night of the incident. He passed it.
His head was injured as was his nose broken.
Zimmerman was on the phone with police asking for help. Martin, while being allegedly stalked called his girlfriend.
2 eye witnesses claim that Martin was on top of Zimmerman assaulting him and hammering his head into the cement walkway.

NBC, ABC and CNN have all reported incorrectly the facts of the incident. NBC edited the voice recordings. ABC published video allegedly showing no wounds, but then enhanced the video to indeed see deep scarring of the back of Zimmerman's head. CNN published Zimmerman's weight as 240 when it was only 170.
Mayor Nutter called it an assassination.
Sharpton called for sanctions and possible violence.
The New Black Panthers have mobilized to kill Zimmerman.

What we need to be fearful of, truly? The riots that may occur, as the base is now whipped up with various lies, as the special prosecutor agrees with the findings and presses no charges. She has already decided that no Grand Jury is needed. (So if charges were filed, it would be less than 2nd degree manslaughter)

I think what you have here is the Lame Stream Media all jumping on the ramp it up bandwagon, almost 3 to 4 weeks after the incident. It helps rally the base for the President, since this could have been his son! (How sickening to live by the "never let a tragedy go to waste" Chicago mantra.)
My hear still goes out to the Martin family, no matter how this ends up, nothing will bring their boy back! And George Zimmerman will always be having to look over his shoulder now for whatever is left of his life.

Danny - You write "The dispatcher never told him to NOT follow anyone." Now you're playing word games. When he tells the dispatcher that he's following Martin, the dispatcher says "“OK, we don’t need you to do that,” Any reasonable person would take that as being instructed to stop following. But then Zimmerman doesn't come across as reasonable. And neither do you Danny.

As you've been told before, Captain Hindsight, the dispatcher is a clerical employee, not a trained law enforcement officer.

A dispatcher is not a graduate of the police academy, has not passed any physical, mental, or psychological testing, and has no field experience.

A dispatcher's advice is relatively meaningless. But you knew that. It just doesn't help the case of Obama and his posse of race hustlers to tell the truth.

Jake - It's just like you to try to divert the conversation to take another cheap shot at Obama.
And I couldn't help but notice that you didn't take Gil to task for referring to him as "Curious George." But just for the record, in earlier posts, Danny predicted that Zimmerman wouldn't be arrested. Captain Hindsight say's he will be. One more thing Jake. You write "A dispatcher is not a graduate of the police academy, has not passed any physical, mental, or psychological testing, and has no field experience." How do you know how much training or experience this dispatcher has? Or are you just making s**t up again? Captain Hindsight say's a 17 yr. old innocent boy would still be alive if Zimmerman had followed the dispatchers instructions. And is that the kind of advice you would give to members of your family? Disregard direction from police dispatchers? This is classic example of your lack of common sense.

I never said no charges will ever be pressed, I have said that the facts speak for themselves. I think I have said "I want justice and fairness!"

So now I hear the special prosecutor is going to press charges, can't wait to see what charges she brings. Stalking maybe? Failure to obey a suggestion of a dispatcher?

I just want the truth! What has been out there so far has not been it!!

Your foul mouth doesn't impress us, Bob.
And your brainpower in thinking any police force would waste thousands of police training dollars on a dispatcher is even less impressive.

How do you know Trayvon would be alive if the dispatcher's instructions were followed? Are you just making this incendiary race hustling nonsense up?

What my son has been told since he was young was to respect others. He would never physically attack an adult.
He wouldn't be wandering around alone in the dark in a strange neighborhood.
If he ever felt like he was in danger, he would call 911.
If Trayvon's parents had taught him respect and simple common sense, he might still be alive.

Jake - That's right. Blame the victim. This is America Jake. Travon was allowed to be anywhere he wanted to be. In fact he was in an area that he was familiar with. An area where he had every right to be. You write "If Trayvon's parents had taught him respect and simple common sense, he might still be alive." You should be ashamed of yourself Jake. Your attitude is repulsive and anti American.

Yeah Bob, like your foul mouth really has any moral authority.
So you think it's smart for a teenager to attack an unfamiliar adult in a crime-ridden area where he doesn't live?

You liberal race hustlers have to understand the difference between rights and common sense. Just being allowed to do something doesn't make it smart.

Parents need to teach their children to be respectful and to be safe, especially a 17 year-old young man who had 3 suspensions from school and obviously was crying out some tough love.

I'm not blaming the victim. I'm blaming the permissive society that doesn't place a higher value on good parenting.

Jake - First of all, you have obviously prejudged this case by assuming that Trayvon launched an unprovoked attack on Zimmerman. You are critical of a 17 yr. old's common sense, yet defend the decision of Zimmerman to ignore the direction of the dispatcher not to follow Martin. You blame the one who is legally a minor and give a pass to the adult. And you write that Trayvon was "obviously was crying out some tough love."(sic) The nerve of you to assume to know what kind of job his parents were doing. You are blaming the victim and his parents. Your thought process is twisted and sick.

Bob,
I am for justice. Loudmouth liberals want to blame guns,or racism, or anything that supports big government intervention.

There is no justice when the President of the United States, the liberal media, the Black Panthers, and the whole universe of charlatans and race hustlers intimidate the judicial process into their bidding.

There is no justice when Obama and his posse use this horrible tragedy divide our nation and energize his reelection campaign.

There is no justice when facts and simple common sense are discarded in favor of overblown rhetoric and fraudulent misrepresentation.

There is no justice when the soul searching fails to include the important people in the victim's life.

So enough with the finger-pointing and name-calling. Your transparent umbrage over people who dare disagree with your self-righteous posturing is both tedious and inappropriate.

jake - Today there was justice. Zimmerman was charged with second degree murder. Tonight Martins parents can go to sleep knowing that there will be a quest for the truth, despite the likes of you. But remember this Jake. As long as there are people like you, willing to turn a blind eye, willing to blame the victim, there will always be a place for the Sharptons and Jacksons.

"and justice for ALL"

Bob, you are pathetic sometimes, and I mean that with all the respect I can muster.
I find it interesting that you quoted me, but left out the word "if"
that began my sentence. As in IF the special prosecutor comes out and does not press charges against George Zimmerman!!"

So now charges are levied, and a man will stand in front of a jury who must look at him as innocent until they can prove him guilty. The charges of 2nd degree murder is interesting. Gil already writes my thoughts on that, so not needed to repeat it. But he ask=s you an important question. IF he is found not guilty of these charges, will you be then satisfied?

Danny - Time for you to put up or shut up! Pathetic is when a grown man won't own up to his own statements. I didn't include the word "IF" because you didn't use it. Period. Are you a betting man? I'll put up my Martin 000-16 up against your finest handgun that the word "if" wasn't used in your quote. And since you're always right, and I'm always wrong, this should be an easy one for you.

Gil - The short answer is yes. You're smart enough to know why, but if you don't, I'm sure Arthur Donato can do a much better job explaining it to you than I can. Might make for an interesting column.

Tsk, tsk. No bet! I am not spending time playing your game. And I already have a couple Martins. My quotes from April 7th below!

"OH and IF George Zimmerman is NOT accused of any crime, the riots that may occur lay at the above mentioned mens feet.
Also George Zimmerman should sue the pants of those three stations for their failure to follow the rule of law.

Yes, I agree that the Martin family deserve a full investigation of the facts. If those facts do not support your hypothesis charges MAY not be filed. Which would mean the investigation doesn't support your hypothesis and supports a mans ability to legally defend himself against fear of death.

My quotes are right there, with dates to back them up. I type quickly and sometimes not accurately.
I have always wanted fairness and justice in this case. I think what this guy Zimmerman got railroaded. Now that he has been charged, the Martin family can now pursue a civil case to take all his worldly goods. You need to know things about the law, Bob. No arrest charges, no civil liability.

But let's press Murder 2 charges?? Maybe some fact have arisen that I am not aware of, but it sure seems to me this guy is being railroaded.

It sure is not without it's oddities.

You're confusing "justice" with the criminal legal process. One does not always guarantee the other. And my friend Art will definitely back me up on that.

Danny - Heres your quote of April 3
I asked where Jake was. Here's your reply - "He's probably out buying more ammunition for when the special prosecutor comes out and does not press charges against George Zimmerman!!" You were sounding pretty sure of yourself there Danny. No one "IF" in that quote that I see. It's archived. Go back and read it for yourself. You've also made the statement early on that "all the facts are in" I could play Tim Russert all day and make you eat your own words, but why bother. High minded people have prevailed. You claim "I have always wanted fairness and justice in this case." Your archived quotes tell a different story.

Gil - Hard to argue that. The criminal legal process, not properly applied, almost allowed Zimmerman to walk away without having to answer for his actions, and it's possible that important evidence was compromised as a result. However, public pressure reversed that course and hopefully, some degree of fairness and justice will surface. Along with some answers. But I ask you. In society, where can justice be found without the criminal legal process? Is there a better system? At the end of a gun?
