Where's the Justice, Al, Jesse, et al?

A man shoots and kills another man on the streets of Upper Darby and yet is not being charged with murder. Where is the justice for DeVaughn Tucker-Knight?

He was only 21 years old, shot down in the prime of life for merely trying to liberate a few dollars and other items from some trigger-happy gun-carrying citizen.

Police have arrested a woman named Stevie Patricia Schmidt for allegedly setting up a meeting between the two men.
“Tucker-Knight is her boyfriend,” police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said. “She set the whole thing up. The district attorney is not charging the shooter. They felt, based on all the evidence, the guns, the bullets, the shell casings found, that it was self-defense. He had a concealed weapons license.”
Where are the protests? Where's Al Sharpton and the rest of the gang at MSNBC? Oh wait, both men were African-American. Never mind!

I thought I was the only one that noticed that type of things.

Black on black crime doesn't exist, or is accepted?

The difference is that Trayvon Martins family hired a PR firm.

You're going to compare this to the Trayvon Martin shooting? Have you lost your mind?

I look at almost all of the shootings in the United States, Bob.

I don't think that Gil, and I never presume to speak for him, is equating this to comparing the incidents as they occurred, but that nothing is being said at all about this shooting. But in this case a young 21 year old black man was killed. He would only be 4 short years from Trayvon's age.

Black on black crimes don't get recognized by the black leaders.

Why not? There is no money in it!!

Danny - There's a reason why nothing was said about this shooting, and why a lot was said about the Martin shooting. Knight was an armed robber. Martin was not. You know better and Gil knows better.

Trayvon Martin had no arms???

What was he using when he was punching Mr. Zimmerman in the face with enough force to knock him down? I'm pretty sure he was using his arms to slam his head into the cement sidewalk.
So, in your opinion, a life can only be threatened if the 2 people have equal opportunity to assail each other?

What a strange world you live in.

2 young black men beat almost to death a 50 year old white man. I hear nothing from Sharpton or Jackson about it. He probably needed to be white, white!!

But the newspaper doesn't choose to mention race in this case.

"He probably needed to be white." Yo, Danny... Most libs including, perhaps Bob, will call that a racist post. We can't protest crime unless the Reverends Al and Jesse say we can. And they seem to be very silent on this case as well as the hooded thug that blew away people in Chicago. By golly, where is the justice? Whoops... The justice is in being to get (a) prime time airtime on NBC/CBS/ABC to show your face. The justice is in being able to get the Commander in Chief to say the person slain would look like his son. I don't remember hearing him say, or seeing in a news clip, that he said that the kids in Chicago blown away would look like his kid. Maybe just a senior moment???

Actually I said, "white, white."
As in "White Hispanic" .

I am tired of people talking racism as if it is all one way. It seems to me that racism is anyone against blacks.

I don't hear much about racism when blacks are beating up asians, I sure don't hear anything about the Black Panthers hating whites/crackers, et el.

I would remove the laws related to hate crimes. It is just a crime against a human, equal rights. That is all I am looking for.

Christian,
You're quite right. I got that information from Chitwood myself.
But nice catch.

Devaughn Tucker-Knight is my family and he was not an "Armed robber". People let the media and anybody else say what they want about people especially if they are no longer here to defend themselves. The girl set this thing up and she and the shooter should be looked at in this shooting. Its not about race to me but the media and the world makes it out to be that way. Murder is murder no matter the color. Justice needs to be served!!!
