Hey, Big Spender

President Obama is appalled and claiming he will be outspent by Mitt Romney in the upcoming campaign. What an outrage! A sitting president outspent by a mere challenger.

When he was outspending John McCain in 2008 by hundreds of millions of dollars, candidate Obama didn't seem so concerned. In that election, he broke his promise to take public financing and limit his own spending. Hope and Change was too important to risk by keeping mere political promises.

It's doubtful most voters will be too sympathetic about his current predicament.

  1. Hope in 2008 was that he would be elected. Change is what he had to do to get enough money to outspend McCain. Did anyone notice that the grand celebration at the Charlotte Motor Speedway has been scrubbed because the organizers don't have the money for it? Indeed, multiple media reports say Democrats are between $20 million and $25 million short of their fundraising goal for the convention? And prominent Democrats like Senator Claire McCaskill of MO are dropping like flies by saying they won't attend the convention? Hope didn't work. Nor did Change. Less than five months to go and the news for Mr. Obama will continue to get worse as each week passes.
