As are a number of American cars. Remember NAFTA? It's one big American market. Perhaps this was the only manufacturer which could meet specs. Or if bid, lowest qualified bidder (with a lower price thanks in part to Canada's health care system). Obit Amerucan when I can, often not possible.

And how exactly does Canada's sub-quality free healthcare system have anything to do with the cost of this manufacturer's bus? If you say because the manufacturer doesn't have to spend as much on its employees, you deserve to be slapped like a woman in front of your children while they hang their heads in shame.
I heard the bus was a Saab.
Saab or not Saab, Bob, Patrick's post is a disgrace. Indeed, when he states that a poster should be "slapped like a womam in front of their children while they they hang there heads in shame" he should be blocked from future Spencerblog posts. Low life? No doubt about it. A person who is lower than the lowest bucket of whale sh*# that ever hit the deep blue sea. I hope the DailyTimes will block any future posts from him/her on Spencerblog and elsewhere on the site...

Charlie - I agree that Patrick is off the deep end. First he touts the old conservative lie that Canadians have sub-par health care and then he makes a misogynist statement.
