Gil, please, please, please keep up your work here. You and John Ziegler are the only beacons of light during this sad state of American journalism. The 3rd world justice meted out by the press is embarassing. I can only hope truth, justice and the American way will somehow prevail. I no longer watch ESPN. My 35 year SI subscription will run out soon. I see two historical parallels - McCarthyism (Emmert and Freeh share this role - high on rhetoric, low on facts) and the treatment of Jim Thorpe and the Carlisle Indian school. Both turned out to be huge embarassments. This will, too. Please, please, please keeep the pressure on. You can make a difference!!!!
Double middle fingers up indeed. The phrase "piling on" has never been more appropriate. And this is said from one who has spent a lot, read significant, of time with volunteer service to the Commission on Higher Education and the umbrella organization Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. I am truly embarrassed.
Today, while I was at work, my sister stole my iPad and
tested to see if it can survive a 40 foot drop, just so she can
be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now broken and she
has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
