Paul Willard Has a Problem...

... with the death penalty and it's not all that the scum bag who killed his daughter is still gulping air. My print column is up.

  1. I share Mr. Willard's problem. The death penalty is not working in the Commonwealth. But nor is it working in other jurisdictions. So let's agree: Death is not a detterent to brutal crimes. Especially when one considers the 'rights' of prisoners. Instead of death by leathal injection, let's have solitary confinement for life. Put the convicted into a cell, give him or her the basic food necessary for sustaining his or her life, and otherwise let him or her stay in his or her cell. Once convicted of a felony crime subject of a potential death penatly, let him or her rot. No TV. No continued visits by wanna-do-good-lawyers or law students. Just let him or her sit and look himself or herself in the mirror.
