But seriously, a couple years ago when it came out that Bush had gently asked a few reporters to please write some balanced reports of the good things that were going on in Iraq the Left went nuts-o. “Bush is trying to control the news coming out of Iraq to a more favorable view!” they shrieked.
Translation: “We of the Left who control and abuse our holdings in the Media will decide the flavor of the dishonest slant of what comes out of Iraq and no one else! And how in the heck can we possibly help our fellow LibDems regain power by using the war as their strawman if it looks like all is not terrible in ‘Bush’s war’? ”
This episode was very much the same as what took place when Mr. Bush sent Ken Tomlinson to try and clean up PBS…
Again the Libs feigned indignation (actually, their indignation was probably real and they just feigned outrage) and screamed how “Bush was trying to hijack PBS and turn it into another FOX News Channel!”
Translation: “We of the Slimy Left have controlled and abused PBS as our own private Liberal Indoctrination Channel for so long that you have to be kidding if you think we’re gonna let it get steered to the Center now! And if you try we’ll scream that ‘FOX News Channel’ thing again!”
Gotta love the level of honesty of Modern Liberalism.
