If the Government supplies healthcare to everyone and then drops a person who doesn't go to the doctor's for... lets say religious reasons, wouldn't they be discriminating against that person Mr Edwards?

You got me there. My skills at being a watchdog are not very good. Just for arguments sake, let's say you don't have a car. The only time you use your healthcare plan is when your taken to the hospital by ambulance and you haven't had an emergency in over a year. Should you be dropped from the plan or should we send you an ambulance to take you in for a check up?

I'm surprised you like the idea of the government telling you that you have to do something or else.

I can't imagine it working anyway. What would happen to all the Health Insurance companies that currently exist. Would they be the Halliburton's of the new health system that are hired as government contractors? Would we wind up paying more per person (through tax dollars) in the long run if it happened this way? If they weren't to be involved in the future of health care, would they just go away quietly or over-fund anti-health plan candidates?
