Snowflakes in Iraq

For the first time in recent memory snow falls in Baghdad. Delighted residents see it as an "omen of peace."

Al Gore will, of course, also take it as an omen, blame global warming and George Bush.

UPDATE: Operation Phantom Phoenix is an even better omen. Happy Birthday, Surge.

It is very true that the Democrats running for President refuse to acknowledge that the surge is working. It's almost like they are ignoring the war at this point. If you look on the web pages under the "issues", it looks like their stance on Iraq was written last year and never updated.

Also, someone should point out to MoveOn.org that Gen Petraeus didn't Betray Us. Some level headed millionaire should start ShutUp.org and take out a full page thank you for General Petraeus and our troops.

This is the time to call these people out who said it wouldn't work and hold them accountable for their positions. Now that things are working, are they still going to walk away from Iraq if elected? Has their position changed? Are they going to bail out on the Iraqis when peace is finally coming? They need to be called out on this stuff now when it is so obvious that they are avoiding it.
