That License Looks Scumptous Right There

Most people say there is no accounting for taste. But some say there should be.

Licensing interior decorators to protect the public? Please.

These folks represent the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), an industry group whose members have waged a 30-year, multimillion-dollar lobbying campaign to legislate their competitors out of business. And those absurd restrictions on advice about paint selection, throw pillows and furniture placement represent the actual fruits of lobbying in places like Alabama, Nevada and Illinois, where ASID and its local affiliates have peddled their snake-oil mantra that "Every decision an interior designer makes affects life safety and quality of life."

Oh brother… The Libs really have gone mad. Now all they have to do is find a few sympathetic Dems to implement their plan.
Lib unions, activists and advocacy groups are a big problem in America. And yet all we ever hear about is how greedy and evil mean old Big Business is.
In all the talk of lobbyist reform we never hear mention of abolishing this sort of greedy Lib lobbying that inflicts absurd and oppressive regulation for the self interests of the few.
