They Report, You Decide

The AP "reports" everything "seems to be spinning out of control:"

"Midwestern levees are bursting. Polar bears are adrift. Gas prices are skyrocketing. Home values are abysmal. Air fares, college tuition and health care border on unaffordable. Wars without end rage in Iraq, Afghanistan and against terrorism."

Not only that, but the other day I got a blister. What is this world coming to?

UPDATE: Another critique of the doomsday view.

Gee, talk about doom and goom fear mongering...

"It's all Bush's fault! Oh, and don't forget that McCain = Bush!"

The Liberal Media doesn't even try to hide it anymore.

Nope, DD. This same hollow poll we keep hearing about is crap from the start. A pushing question such as “Is America headed in the right direction?” assumes many things, like that there IS a “right” direction and a wrong direction. And the mere asking of such a question implies that there is something wrong. It is Lib Media doom and gloom fear mongering skat attempting to tap American skepticism and spin it into more anti-Bush propaganda to help their LibDem buddies in the Fall.

Despite all the undue attention they get, smart people know that public opinion polls don’t really mean much. Anymore they are little more than a measure of the Lying Lib Media’s ability to manipulate the masses’ perceptions and how effective those efforts have been. This was the point in Gil even posting this shrill Lib doom and gloom article.
And everything is Bush's fault and Obama is Black Jesus anyway so what's the point?

Nope, DD, it is as I say. I’m not the only one who has sounded the indictment of the Lying Lib Media and the devaluation of their polls.

Just because your banished god Slick Willie couldn’t even pick what color dog to get without polling it first doesn’t mean that’s the best way to make policy.

Oh, really? Seems to me that Pelosi’s approval rating of 24% and Reid’s at 19%, both all time lows and going down, are less even than mean old Bush’s steady 30% rating. Imagine that.

You brought up Congress’s approval rating, Dishonest Dave. So of course the Donkeys… Oh, why do I even bother? You're full of crap.

And funny how the VP position was always largely ignored… until the LibDems decided to vilify Evil Darth Cheney. I mean, really, who remembers ever hearing about VP approval rating ever in the past? Lol…

Umm, no. You brought up about Congressional approval ratings in a dishonest effort to paint the Repubs as the reason the numbers are so low. And all I did was point out that you were, well, wrong …lying again. You know, ‘cause that’s what you do. And once again I busted you.

This is what a true checkmate looks like. And that feeling in your gut is humiliation turning to anger.
Cue another desperate grasp by Dishonest Dave in a pathetic attempt to save face and “get even” with me… Lol…

Besides, all that aside, what’s it say about your beloved Donkeys that the American People like them even less than they like that horrible Bush guy? (snicker)

Oh, well then… I thought you meant he robbed a candy store or something.

He just does what he has to in order to do his job and get things accomplished when faced with obstructionist LibDems who won’t go along with anything. (And they call him the divider! Lol…)

And seeing how he’s not been arrested, brought up on charges or put in jail (I think we woulda seen the news footage had this happened!), I’m gonna have to say that he hasn’t “broken” any laws.

Hey! OJ is black! Therefore he was railroaded by a racist white justice system!
(Lol… I can’t even type that Lib stuff with a straight face!)

Show some respect for your President. He hasn’t broken any laws. It’s not nice to slander, DD.

Oh, blahblah weepweep. Bush has done no such things.
See how your petty hurt feelings make you say silly things. That's not very "change-y" or "unity-y", DD. What would Obama say? (snicker)
