We've become a "Nation of Hamlets," writes Victor Davis Hanson.
Money Q:
The causes of this paralysis are clear. Action entails risks and consequences. Mere thinking doesn't. In our litigious society, as soon as someone finally does something, someone else can become wealthy by finding some fault in it. Meanwhile a less fussy, more confident world abroad drills, and builds nuclear plants, refineries, dams and canals to feed and fuel millions who want what we take for granted.

ReplyDeleteSo what you’re saying is that we can’t get anything accomplished due to Libs and lawyers and environmental activists and Lib judges that allow their frivolous obstructionist lawsuits to obstruct all progress. That’s not very “progressive”. Only in America. Thanks, Libs.
ReplyDeleteI use this same argument all the time about our medical liability crisis. As in: “Something is seriously wrong when doctors are forced to practice defensive medicine. Think developing countries that are just happy to have any medical care at all first concern themselves with liability and lawsuits when delivering medical care? We need to outlaw ALL medical lawsuits except in cases of willful misconduct. Before any Lib weeps about health care “reform”, jackpot fishing predatory medical lawsuits first need to be abolished or ‘loser pays’ instituted.”
The ultimate slimy Lib lawsuit was trying to sue telecoms for their doing what they were asked to by the U.S. Government in keeping our country safe. Just because the Libs didn’t like the policy but couldn’t do anything about it through legislative channels, they resorted to their time dishonored underhanded methods of legal bullying with abusive lawsuits. Immunity for the telecoms? Of course. Then these traitorous Lib groups should have been brought up on charges of obstructing government business, treason and aiding our enemies.

ReplyDeleteI was addressing Gil with my post.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don’t think anyone is surprised that you would put lining lawyer wallets ahead of medical delivery. I mean, you are a Lib. ‘Loser pays’ would be the fairest way to go. But then, Libs like you don’t much care for fairness or what is right. You’d rather continue just throwing other people’s money at the problems you Libs have created.
The telecom issue is settled, when do you plan to stop weeping about it just because Bush hurt your feelings? You gonna continue to call it “illegal” even when now clearly it is not? I expect you will.
You have nothing to fear if you’re not talking to terrorists. Uh, you’re not, are you, Dave? Talking to terrorists?...
