Mike Gillen: Whistleblower?

Mike Gillen says his letter to the U.S. Attorney from a few years ago questioning certain "contracts" may be the reason the feds are investigating Chester Upland now.

If only Mark "I can't stand corruption" Sereni had been C-U's solicitor back then. There would have been a thorough internal investigation and the wrongdoers would already have been brought to justice.

But then, Sereni's buddy Keith Crego probably would have beenC-U's superintendent of schools. The mind reels.

CORRECTION: It is the state AGs office that is investigating Chester Upland. Not, the feds.

CLARIFICATION: It was C.U. Superintendent Gregory Thornton who told the Daily Times it was the FBI that requested documents and papers from the district. We screwed up. We believed him.

Maybe the FBI is investigating how a black district like C.U.S.D. somehow always magically manages to find and insert a black superintendent whenever they go looking for a new one. Seems odd. If a whiter district were similarly to always hire whites you can bet our local investigative “journalists” would be on the case sounding constant “racism!” alarms. But when C.U. clearly engages in targeted racial hiring we get deafening pin drops.

Gotta love that Racial Double Standard.

It seems quite a few letters were written and phone calls made to the US Attorney about sitiations in Penn-Delco. But all were ignored. It was left to the locals to resolve with many a plea bargain, I guess here in this county that's true justice. Leaving many questions unanaswered. Such as a fedreral tax evasion charge why was it not filed on ALL involved?? Now that would have been federal wouldn't it?? It seems that the ex- head counsel finds himself wrapped in a political bubblewrap meaning he is untouchable. He is above reproach in all that took place on his watch. The ship burnt and sank but he managed to find a cushy liferaft and float away into the sunset. Gone but truly not forgotten by many. All the while carrying the Truth and Justice flag on his shoulders.

PS: Randall: There are more than racial double standards in play in this County. Depends on who you know!!!!
