Swinging to a Decision
NYT's retiring Supreme Court reporter, Linda Greenhouse, writes about her years covering the court.
This line caught my eye:
"President Reagan nominated Robert Bork, a well-known conservative, to the "swing" seat on the court being vacated by Justice Lewis F. Powell Jr."
I didn't know the court had a "swing seat." I hope it has safety bar and all the justices get a chance to swing in it.

The NYT can't even cover the SC without bias.
geez, we should know that the constitution requres that the specific seat is supposed to always be a swing seat.
also, justices should legislate from the bench, screw strict interpretation of the constitution!!!
