Come on Gil! You don't have the time to be a full time babysitter! You threw this threat out there before, it lasted a week and things went back to it's regular, insult-laden standards. Yes, I agree with the notion and the need to clean things up, but I don't see this lasting!
Does comment moderation now give us posters "batting averages"? I'd love to keep track of who's posts are deleted and etc.

7-1: carter scott shields is able to post without invoking a gay reference
6-1: david diano takes the time to check the wikipedia article before cutting and pasting into his posts - some articles are laden with vulgarity due to pranksters
5-1: spencerblog deletes any jonas posts that brag about his qualifications and accomplishments. spencerblog community celebrates
3-2: posts by randal become a thing of the past on spencerblog due to their inability to pass through comment moderation without detection of offensive material
1-2: realizing the actual work involved in keeping, maintaining and censoring a blog, gil spencer, longing for the days of op-eds 3-4 days a week and nothing further, deletes spencerblog, much to the disapproval of the herron's nest
Too much oversight and control.
You’re not a hands-on enough of an Admin to approve postings quickly to keep the place flowing, G. Can we expect hours and days to pass between composition, approval and posting, as you disappear sometimes days at a time?

I often suspected this was just what Dishonest Dave Diano had in mind by always posting his abrasive and offensive crap here. Looks like he won.

Spencerblog will not be a full-time babysitter. It will be a part-time babysitter.
Posters will have to wait, sometimes hours, maybe even days, to see the fruits of their labor in print.
