Rove on Soldiers Sacrifice and Heroism

It's almost as if the evil Karl Rove actually cares about the military men he met this year, their amazing bravery and love for their country.

Democrats look away.

I hope America continues to be worthy of such staggering service and sacrifice.

Me too.

Despite the LibDem efforts to villify him, Rove is a good and decent guy. There was a news story going around a couple weeks ago about how Bush and/or Cheney have quietly visited nearly every family of the 4000+ fallen U.S. soldiers and they were warmly greeted. But you never hear any of this from the Lying Liberal Media.

This once again counters the Libs, Bobs and Daves, who practice their hurt feelings treason while claiming to “dissent” and speak for our boys in uniform. Soldiers like the one in the article hate the traitor Libs as much as the rest of us do.

Gil - Whats your problem? If you want to share this column, why can't it be done in a positive manner? Why the devisive addition of "Democrats look away"?

Rove ends his column with "May the New Year bring safety to all who wear our country's uniform, success in the missions they so passionately believe in, peace and comfort to their families, and reunion with all whom they love."

Do you think Rove was just speaking to the Republican members of the armed forces and their families when he wrote that? Do you think Rove would appreciate your addition of "Democrats look away?"

I think Gil was trying to say that most democrats hate Karl Rove and that you may be disappointed to find that he is a compassionate person with a great heart. You may also be disappointed to hear that Special Operators are on the same page as our President and their feelings don't necessarily go along with the messages you like to broadcast on their behalf... I think Gil was tryin' to say "Look, here's Rove being a decent human being. Democrats look away so you won't see it or talk about it because it'll ruin the Satantic image they gave the guy."

E/Aaron - Everyone wants to answer for Gil. He's a big boy. Let Gil speak for himself. The indignation, shown by reasonable people, is not over the use of combat troops for a just cause. It's over the abuse of the military for, as Pat Buchanan so accurately put it, an imperialistic war. E-You might be surprised to find that not all military minds think alike. I know you think of them in terms of sheep and dogs. I prefer to think of them as humans.

I love that parody of your name. I only wish that I had that type of wit. Gil has been using that saying for as long as he has had this blog. It is true as libdems can't stand to hear anything positive about President Bush and his administration. Also, did you read 51 heavy books last year, plus the Bible cover to cover?

That editorial is just another in a long line of dishonest attacks against our President. The Iraq war was justified as Iraq thwarted the UN and every other nations efforts to reign in a brutal dictator. In fact, I dont get why libs want us to go into Darfur, while at the same time Iraq was wrong.

Wiretapping: There was a law passed in 1994 (while Congress and the Presidency was democratically controlled) called CALEA. It required all telecom carriers to allow government access to their communication lines for eavesdropping. It was co-sponsored by Biden (who by the way, is NOT a constitutional scholar). Wiretaps under this law and in the Clinton Administartion went from several thousand a year to millions.

Lastly Katrina, which honest people know was a failure of local government. Gov. Blanco refused all federal aid for days, and all federal aid waited at the LA border. I won't even mention the failure of Chocolate City Nagin, or the rampant corruption of the New Orleans politicians. Katrina didn't even hit New Orleans directly, but they suffered the most due to local graft and incompetence.

Dont let historical facts get in the way of your irrational dislike of President Bush.

Bob, you might be surprised to know that 99% (if not 100%) of our service members have either enlisted or re-enlisted since the war in Iraq began. Surely not all of them are pro- President Bush. But almost all (if not all) of them have put their hand on the bible and signed up to go over and complete that mission. They signed up because they are like sheep dogs protecting society. That is what is called an analogy Bob. They are not really dogs...

C. Scott,

I thought President Bush was at fault for building faulty levees years ago while he was in College?

This is all clearly John McCain's fault. Oh, wait, the election's over.

Because Darfur is about saving blacks. And because it wasn't Bush's idea. Yep, Libs are selective hypocrites like that.

Dont let historical facts get in the way of your irrational dislike of President Bush.

Like that's ever going to happen...

E - Give it a rest! Fake figures and all. Analogy? Is that what that was? Well, its a pathetic analogy. I participated in protests against government actions in Iraq, long before public opinion figured out it was BS, and I'm the sheep? Your thinking? It's called pretzel logic.

Carter/Steve - Bush wants to blame everyone else. His belief? The buck stops....There! Figure it out. Bush is a pathetic little man.

So who else enjoys the hysterical irony of Weeper Bob telling someone else to “give it a rest”! Talk about a pathetic little man… Lol.

Now there is a great resume of public service... Pretzel logic? Are you calling me a pretzel? I prefer to think of it as human logic... Now doesn't that sound silly?

Oh, and again... What "fake figures" are you talking about?

E - You said "Are you calling me a pretzel? I prefer to think of it as human logic... Now doesn't that sound silly?" Yes. Coming form you, human logic does sound silly.
BTW - I have been a public servant. Include in my resume - Viet Nam era vet. Ask Gil, Aaron, Carter and Randal about their military service.

Bob,

Viet Nam era vet... War Protester... Hey, wait a minute... You're John Kerry aren't you! I hope you're not wasting my tax dollars chatting Spencerblog while you're supposed to be working "Bob" (wink/wink) ... Hah just kidding John! Hey tough loss about that Secretary of State thing. Don't worry, Hillary is a tool, she'll screw it up and get fired. Then Obama will be begging you to take it.

Era?

Some people’s subsequent treason, like Hanoi John Kerry and others around here, cancels out any respect they earned with their military service. And yet they keep bragging, as if their brief service long ago gives them license to be traitors. Lol… It doesn’t.
