The Un-free Market and March Madness

Vedder and Denhart explain how universities exploit top athletes to line their own pockets. When it comes to getting their market value, big-time college athletes don't.

So what else is new?

Vedder and Denhard have a point.

Still, these athletes get a great stage on which to perform. They are worshipped. And they get the sheer unadulterated fun of playing in front of millions. Some things are more important than money.

Yes. Being worshiped is more important than money.

(P.S. don't forget to put a little something something in the collection plate this Sunday)
