Early leader Joe Ogilvie, who shot a 66 this morning, just concluded his session with the media. Asked about his putting he used a phrase I'd never heard before in golf. At Hartford, he said, "I had two de-greeners." It wasn't hard to figure out what he meant but he explained it "for the folks at home" as being putts that leave green after being hit.

To shoot 66, Ogilvie didn't "de-fairway" many drives. He hit 10 of 14.

He spoke glowingly of the course as one that just feels and looks like it can handle "a big event."

Asked about pace of play and whether players should be calling each other on taking too much time to hit a shot, Ogilvie smiled. That might make for a "good HBO show," he said and bring a little "color" to the game but he sounded like he'd rather leave the pace of play rulings to officials.

"You'd be kicked out of Aronimink if you played in 4 hours and 15 minutes, for a foursome," he said. A threesome ought to be able to get around in that amount of time.
