Dem Fear Factor
The WSJ's Mike Kaminski tries to get a handle on the senate and congressional races in Pennsylvania. Democrats are left trying to scare voters about what Republicans would do if they were back in power.
Ed Rendell, Pennsylvania's outgoing Democratic governor, calls it playing up the "fear factor." "Mike Fitzpatrick may be a reasonable guy, but Michele Bachmann [the Minnesota Republican congresswoman] isn't," Mr. Rendell tells me. "Toomey's a good candidate who doesn't appear to be a wacko. But Toomey gets hurt every time Christine O'Donnell opens her mouth."If Pennsylvania voters can't tell the difference between Pat Toomey and Christine O'Donnell they deserve Joe Sestak.

Spencer what ever happened to reporters being unbiased? all your posts put down the democrats who actually do more good for your average readers than the republican fear war and money machine....do you work for the republican party or the daily times?
I've worked with and against Mike Fitzpatrick. He's a good guy and probably deserves to be back in DC. He has worked long and hard and knows people issues. I hope the Tea Party does't hurt his chances.
Christopher,
I am an opinion columnist, not a reporter. If you don't know the difference, I can't help you.
As to your questions: I work for the Daily Times. I don't work for the Republican party, it's not nearly conservative enough for me.
Who do you work for?
