In mocking the way Rick Santorum and his wife dealt with the death of their premature son, progressives commentators Eugene Robinson and Alan Colmes show not only a lack of grace and decency but ignorance that is quite astonishing.
Here Colmes is publicly called out on it...
Colmes has since apologized to Santorum. No word on Robinson.
Mr. Colmes comments on national television are the most disgusting I have ever seen. And at my advanced state of chronological gifts that is saying something. I cannot imagine anyone coming to his defense. And an apology to Senator Santorum? No doubt it was a personal between he-and-thee thing and not done on national television. Mr. Colmes has really shown just how low the liberal media will go. Even when he was given multiple opportunites to backtrack he dug his heels in and didn't realize how hurtful what he had said would be, not only to the Santorums but to many thousands of viewers. Alan Colmes is a disgrace and should be taken off the air immediately.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you expect from FOX?
ReplyDeleteFull Disclosure - I an NOT supporting Santorum, and if he's somehow the nominee, I'm voting for myself this November.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering, why are details of how Santorum and his wife grieved over the loss of a child as public as a street sign, yet any details of Obama's pre-senate life are never addressed with detail?
Steve - I don't believe this should have been brought up. It's not a campaign issue. It's purely a personal issue between Rick and his wife. We are all entitled to greive in our own way as long as we're not violating any laws or hurting others. Im still having a hard time figuring out how this information became public in the first place. Anyone have the answer to that?
ReplyDeleteIn answer to your question, Bob, it became public because the left wing media kept scouring and bottom feeding as they are well known to do until they dug it up. And then they put Alam Colmes up to trying to ridicule it after Senator Santorum almost took the Iowa caucus vote. But I respect your comments that it should not have been brought up. See? We can agree sometimes.

ReplyDeleteMy Dear Charlie Six Pack a.k.a. Anon - No that doesn't answer my question. How did the evil, liberal, left wing media find out about this? Did the Santorums make this information public? Did a hospital worker open up to reporters? Did one of Santorums kids show up at school talking about what happened? And why aren't Santorum supporters demanding an apology from FOX news?
