Treading On Me

  1. I'm not allowed to post articles or opinions on here like Jake and Danny because......well....because I'm a big fat liberal! So I'm appealing to Jake, or Danny, to post a story about Herman Cain's newest entry into the spotlight. Or how about a video of Santorum trying to BS his way out of his comment about the "socialist agenda" and black people. There's so much more out there to talk about than the Chevy Voly (sic).

  2. .....or maybe something about that low level Republican official and Asst. principle from NJ who was videotaping boys in the school shower. You know. More material for Jakes budding career as a comic.

  4. Bob,

Please feel free to post links to any article you feel is worthwhile here in the comments section.

In the meantime, your snarky critiques of my and other posters posts are often thought provoking, highly appreciated and always welcome.

  5. Gil - Hey, You know I'm just bustin your chops! The one's that I delete are doubles. For some odd reason, an occasional post will appear twice. Fix that, will ya?

  7. Gil is very professional.
Me? I want to offer you cheese to go with that whine!!!

  8. Danny - Trust me on this. I'm just having fun. I understand the concept. Gil is a conservative columnist with a blog, and it would defy logic for him to let a liberal post on his blog. Even if that liberal's posts would have more substance, be more interesting and prove to be more factual than the rest of the posts.
As for the wine and cheese, I'll take a rain check. Save it for my Obama 2012 victory party. I'll supply the boxes of tissue.

  9. I'm glad you are having fun. I'll be here all week!!
Let's make a little bet on October, in writing here. If Obama wins, I will buy you drinks all night, if he loses to(fill in the blank)you buy for me, Jake, Steve and Gil?

  10. Danny - OK. Ill agree to your bet. If a Republican wins the presidency in October, I'll buy all three of you drinks, and dinner. If a Republican doesn't win in October, you owe me drinks and dinner. For me and two of my liberal friends. Deal?

  11. Danny and Bob: I am 100% certain that neither Obama nor a Republican candidate yet to be named will be victorious in October. Because the Republican candidate will not be elected until November 6th. Just sayin'...

  12. Charlie Six Pack a.k.a. Anon - Shhhhh. I know that, you know that, but Danny doesn't know that. So don't ruin this for me. Delete your reply so I can win this bet. I've already told Bill Maher and Reverald Al not to make plans for Nov. 1st.

BTW, you look familiar. Did you ever work as a cabana boy in Vegas?

  13. Of course I never said what year that October fell in, did I.

OK, I typed it wrong, and admit it. I was wrong!
I know the election will be in November, and the new president will take his oath of office in January of 2013.
But mistakes aside, my bet was that we have a new President, and that President Obama is a one term guy!
Things to watch? Like the "employment numbers go up supposedly yesterday, but the stock market went down" things.
One term and done. No Hope, and I have little change left.

  14. Danny - When they say "vote early and often", they don't mean a month early. I'm just having fun with you. I still think you're a good guy. But I am glad you're on the other side.

  15. Danny - I've said before on this site, and I'll say it again. I don't know if Obama is going to win. I think he deserves a second term, but considering the fact that this country elected W twice, who knows what will happen. And even if Romney wins, we'll still have a liberal in the White House. Funny thing is, you posted a negative cartoon about Romney at one point, but sooner or later, you'll be singing his praises. And I'll have the satisfaction of reminding you that you were an anyone but Romney Republican. If Santorum wins, we all loose.

  16. "Loose" is Obama's regard for the Constitution, which causes us all to "lose".

  17. Thanks Jake. Did you watch last nights debate? I'm thinking that your probably a Santorum Republican.

  18. Hey Gil, when the GOP nominee (Romney) becomes official, can you keep a weekly poll update on the blog? in lieu of Tracking the polls as "Obama/Romney" can you title them "Bob Bohne/Dannytheman"? I find it much more interesting that way!

  19. LOL Steve I like that idea! What a hoot.
