Hard to decide which member of the Obama Cabinet is the biggest loser.

You've got Chu taking away our light bulbs and cheerleading rising gas prices.

You've got Geithner causing the first downgrade of Treasury bonds in American history.

You've got Holder killing border patrol agents and redefining terrorism to take away the rights of American citizens.

And you've got Big Sis denying religious liberty to Catholics and other people of conscience to force mandatory contraception and abortion coverage on health insurance companies.

I'm sorry, it's just too tough a choice. Let's just get rid of them all come November.

I am planning on cleaning house in November, and I'm already writing checks to help, earliest I ever have!

Jake - As we've discussed before, the light buld law was from the Bush administration. Why didn't you write "we had Bush taking away out light bulbs"?

Obama up for re-election and Bob still fixated on President Bush.

Unfortunately, for your liberal world view, it wasn't Bush who said, "We are taking away a choice that continues to let people waste their own money."

What breathtaking arrogance by the same buffoon who wasted half a billion of dollars on Solyndra.

jake - I think we can all agree on this. That conserving energy not only helps our own wallets, but also benefits our national security. The less energy we use, the less we have to depend on foreign sources. According to the latest Consumer Reports, incandescants waste so much energy that only 10% of that energy provides light. And yet there are people like you who will refuse to stop using them. You have no problem sending someone else, or someone elses kid to the Middle East to fight a war over the free flow of oil through the Suez Canal, just as long as you can buy cheap gas and use your incandescants. You're being selfish jake. And that's exactly why it's sometimes necessary for the government to intervene. Even if it's Bush.

First, breathtaking arrogance by Chu and now breathtaking arrogance by Captain Hindsight.
Let me help you out:
How I choose to spend my own money is none of the government's business.

How many people could have been helped, how many children could have been educated, if Obama and Chu hadn't wasted billions on financially irresponsible loans to their cronies?

jake - Thanks for helping me out. You take the point of view that it's all about jake being able to do whatever he wants with his own money. I take the point of view that we should all be willing to do our part to lessen our dependence on fossil fuels. You won't often see me put this in writing, but this is one of those rare times when Bush was right. Legislation to steer people in the right direction when they lack the common sense to do the right thing. One of the things that separates Liberals from Conservatives.

How many people could have been helped, how many children could have been educated, what shape would our economy be in, how many people would still be alive, how much pain and suffering would have been averted, if Bush hadn't wasted over a trillion on an irresponsible invasion and occupation?

Bob,
I don't presume to tell other people how to run their lives. Obviously, you want to impose your views and values on others.

Thankfully, America was established with rights and freedoms to prevent the tyranny of people like you.

jake - This law was passed by Bush, and yet I don't recall any criticism of him coming from you for passing this legislation.

Dec. 19, 2007 Bush signed this into law.

If Bush was President when this law was being implemented, and he had an Energy Secretary saying stuff as stupid as Chu, you can be sure conservatives would be speaking out.
War is a judgement call, one that Obama hasn't really deviated all that much from.
Solyndra is an abject failure of government -- no comparison whatsoever.
