Hershey School Capitulates

The Milton Hershey School gives in and offers HIV-postive teenager a spot in its class of 2016. I'll have plenty more to say about this here and in Friday's print column.

I suspect that your commentary on Friday will include references to the lawyer representing the allegedly aggrevied applicant. And the fact that the ABC news interview was based on a "written statement through is lawyer." The unnamed complainant, through his lawyer has now said that "This case is not settled..." Really? Does that mean that the lawyer is sensing he/she is about to lose an anticipated huge contingency fee? If the relief sought in the litigation is admission to the Hershey School, and if the Hershey School agrees to admit the individual, does that not make the lawsuit moot? Or is Ronda still going forward to settle her ledger on the back of her client?
