A Brief Reprieve

Chester Upland gets $3.2 million and a brief reprieve. But it will be broke again next month. This is no way to run a school district.

Change is coming to Chester Upland. My print column is up.

On the bright side the Chester Clippers beat the Penn Wood Patriots last night and remained ranked No 1 in the state. If only the adults in charge of running the district were one-tenth as competent and committed to excellence as the kids and coaches in its basketball program.

I watched the TV show last night, and the answers the woman gave to you and Phil, all started with, "Remember the Children"!
As a 2nd amendment advocate, I hear that slant all the time. So I tend to discount the emotion it has tied to it. Others still buy it. The teachers are still teaching because they know they will be paid, this working with no pay thing was crap. The unions are not helping by offering any money, are they?
70% of the money that Chester Upland gets comes from other PA residents, and that doesn't include this influx of 3.5 million. Chester Upland has no shame. They keep asking for more, and when told no, they throw "the children: line at you like it was a baseball bat hit in the head.

I will help those kids, but I want them in my schools following our rules! Close the Chester Upland District and mark them as FAILED! After 15 years of throwing bad money after more bad money, when is enough enough?
