More Outrage and Hypocrisy from Democrats

So Democrats are outraged that Rush Limbaugh would call a female activist who thinks the government should pay for her birth control "a slut." But they are mum, when progressive commentators and entertainers call conservative women demeaning names. Like Bill Maher, to name just one, who has called Sarah Palin one of the ugly names for female genitalia.

Maher recently donated $1 million to a re-elect Obama super PAC. No calls yet from outraged Democrats that the president demand the money be returned.

James Taranto does a nice job explaining the hypocrisy of cultural feminism and it's media cheerleaders. And he praises Democratic consultant Kirsten Powers for calling out these liberal men for their grossly misogynistic remarks.

In that spirit, let me say that I think Rush Limbaugh is a big, fat idiot for his stupid remarks. At least he's apologized for them. How sincere that apology is, who knows.

UPDATE: More on this from Nick Gillespie over at Reason magazine. The catalog of name-calling is quite graphic. Mr. Gillespie's contempt for such stuff, be it done by liberals or conservatives, sounds quite genuine.

Gil - You say Dems are mum, and then go on to say Dem. consultant Powers is calling out liberal men for their misogynistic remarks. And in this case, Bill Maher is defending Limbaugh. Either way, two wrongs don't make a right.

It's Democratic office holders I'm talking about. Mitt Romney was asked about Limbaugh's remarks and said he wouldn't have used such words. He was deemed insufficiently outraged by liberals.

Subsequently President Obama ignored one question about Maher's past remarks and recent donation to re-elect him. So have two Democratic congresswomen who claimed outrage at Limbaugh's remarks.

As we say in the media, "It's the hypocrisy, stupid!"

In all fairness, you know I feel the same way about Michael Moore. Another big fat idiot. Again, the issue with hypocracy. Maybe there's a new political party in the making. The Hypocratic Party of the United States of Amnesia.

Unfortunatly for Romney, I think he could have used a stronger denunciation of Limbaugh's remarks, and it would have been to his advantage. I often wonder if Romneys handlers know what they're doing. Or are they afraid of Limbaugh?

I only think that if I have to pay for her birth control, she should have to pay for my ammunition.

My right is written down. Free condoms at every Planned Parenthood, 9.00 a month for WallMart's Pill?

All name calling aside, why am I paying for complete stranger to have sex again?

Bob,
And what about Obama's failure to remark at all when asked about Maher? Any doubts that his handlers know what they're doing? Or is he afraid of Maher?

Gil - I guess you missed the part where I wrote "two wrongs don't make a right."

Besides, Romney's the one struggling, not Obama. Obama's approval rating's are on the upswing. Even the Times is writing editorials about an improving economy. My comment was directed at the Romney camp's inability to improve his image. Particularly among Republicans. I heard someone on Morning Joe refer to Romney as being like an organ transplant that the body keeps rejecting.

Last month,Bob, you insulted my son (a vet) and myself. Name calling asI would put it. Was I a bit angry, sure, but I would not respond in like. You are correct, two wrongs do not equal a right, but one wrong makes a lasting impression.

Rdub - Enough with the melodramatics! I never insulted you or your son. Go back through the archives and prove it. My discussion was with Jake, and it was about a photo that showed two lesbian sailors kissing. Jake referred to them as soldiers, and I corrected him. But rather than admit he had made a mistake, Jake used a partial definition to try to convince himself, and me, that even though these women were in dress blues, they were soldiers. And then you jump in with "Say that to my son's face". So maybe you can explain to me what that was all about? Because if your son is in the military, I'm pretty sure he knows the difference between a soldier and a sailor. Wouldn't you agree?

Bob,
The post wasn't about approval ratings. It was about the Democrats hypocrisy when it comes to holding themselves to the same standard on ugly and misogynistic comments made by their own supporters.

Obama refused to condemn Maher's past comments, while taking his money. Was it politically smart to ignore the question? I think so. But it does reveal his own blatant hypocrisy on the matter.

If you can't admit that, you're simply not being honest with yourself.

Gil - No doubt about it. Obama should have condemed Mahers statements. I believe I've said this several times now. Two wrongs don't make a right. As for the money, it went to a Pac, not directly to Obama. That being the case, I don't believe he has any direct control of that money.

Bob, I did not see jake's post that day. Maybe removed,I think. My point was somewhat personal on my part. I did mention Coronado, where my son trained. research that.
two tours overseas, one on an oil pod in the Gulf, 100 meters off the border toIran, the other is classified. So it is possible to be a soldier in the Navy. I've gotten over that I was called Rdumb and my son's ability to pass a basic test to join the military. Beyond that, I believe that Bill Clinton was the best pres. we ever had in my 55 years on this earth. Honestly miss those days

Rdub - I did research it. This is exactly what you wrote, and exactly how you wrote it "OK Bob Coranado, California the restis classified" Now see, I thought you were calling me "Bob Coronado" I had no idea what that was supposed to mean, but I assumed it was a bit of name calling. Had you said "my son trained in Coronado", I would have understood. Regardless, I know enough about the military to know that a woman in dress blues is a sailor, not a soldier. Just for the record, I was in the navy towards the end of the Viet Nam war. I don't consider myself a veteran, because I really didn't do anything. I mopped floors, worked in a pharmacy and in the end, received an honorable. My son was in Army intel for 11 yrs., served under Clinton & Bush. He did Bosnia, Kosovo and Iraq, along with several other places. He spent the last 2 yrs. of his service in Alice Springs Australia working with the Ausies, and I'm very proud if his service to this country. My brother was also in the Navy during Nam, and my Dad was in the Navy during WWII and Korea. He suffered hearing problems and a shrapnal injury when a kamakazi pilot hit his ship. He was in the battle of Leyte Gulf. So there you have it. In no way were my remarks intended to show disrespect for your son's service. And we agree on this. Clinton was great.

Bob,
I thought you were just arrogant about running other people's lives, like the rest of your liberal cult.
But now I see your arrogance has extended to thinking you are more correct than the dictionary.
How very sad.
