His long drive last weekend didn't cost him anything. That's because we as his loyal subjects are paying for it. At the same time our long drive this past weekend cost us a lot more than it did the weekend prior. So we're paying for him to have his long drive and, at the same time, paying more for our own long drive. Something about that doesn't just compute as equitable. We are told by the mass media that we must take comfort that our President is getting some time off in Florida for a golf weekend while we take comfort that we also sent our dime Mrs. Obama and the girls to Colorado for their ski vacation. But when we can't afford to take some time off, and can't afford to take a long drive, it is hard to take comfort in knowing how much they deserve their vacations at our expense.
